我叫xxx，12岁，今天我要竞选的职位是英语课代表。这是我人生中第一次竞争演讲，所以未免有些紧张，上台前我犹豫了许久，也曾想打退堂鼓，但对于英语的热爱最终促使我走上了这讲台，希望同学们多多鼓励我，支持我！
我热爱英语，6岁开始学习阶梯英语，小学六年，我的英语成绩班里一直都是名列前茅，而且每次我们班主办学校的“红领巾广播”时，我都是当仁不让的英语主播，特别是我的英语口语经常得到英语老师的表扬。
我认为英语课代表首先要热爱英语、成绩好，才能为大家作表率。其次，英语课代表应该有较强的责任心，要树立为老师分忧、为同学解难、为同学服务的思想，做好老师和同学之间沟通的桥梁，更要帮助那些需要帮助的同学。最后，还必须要有虚怀若谷的精神，只有虚心接受老师和同学们的意见才能不断进步，做好工作。总之，我认为英语课代表的任务就是“让同学们都能爱上英语，和同学们一起提高英语水平”。
如果不能当选，我也不会气馁，我会改进自己的不足，更加努力地学习，在学习中积极配合英语课代表的工作，为提高全班的英语成绩贡献自己的一点力量。

i hope my ideal school starts at 8.30 a.m. because l like to get up late. i hope my ideal school finishes at 4.30 p.m. so l can have lots of time to have a rest and do some after-school activities.
my ideal school is very large, it has three tall buildings , a big dining hall, a tennis court, a big playground and a park.
we have an hour for lunch, we can eat delicious food and chat with each other in the big dining hall. we can also listen to pop music here.
we have math lesson everyday because l like math very much. i also like english, so we have english everyday. we needn’t wear school uniform. the classes are quite small, there are about 15 students in each class.
we have activities after school once a week. at the weekend, we needn’t do much homework. everymonth, we go on a school trip to shanghai orsuzhou.

(laughter) i'm learning that nifty trick where you can charge your mobile phone battery from your chair battery. genius. we are learning from each others' strength and endurance, not against our bodies and our diagnoses, but against a world that exceptionalizes and objectifies us. i really think that this lie that we've been sold about disability is the greatest injustice. it makes life hard for us. and that quote, "the only disability in life is a bad attitude," the reason that that's bullshit is because it's just not true, because of the social model of disability. no amount of smiling at a flight of stairs has ever made it turn into a ramp. never. (laughter) (applause) smiling at a television screen isn't going to make closed captions appear for people who are deaf. no amount of standing in the middle of a bookshop and radiating a positive attitude is going to turn all those books into braille. it's just not going to happen.
